Can you take Ozempic and Saxenda  together?

No, you cannot take Saxenda® and Ozempic® together. Both medications are injectable glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, and the safety of using them simultaneously is unknown and therefore not recommended. Both medications can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation, and by taking Saxenda and Ozempic together you may be at risk for more serious side effects. While these medications are similar, it is important to note that Saxenda is FDA-approved for weight loss in patients with a body mass index of 30+ kg/m2 or 27+ kg/m2 and weight-related medical problems while Ozempic is FDA-approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. If you have questions about taking either Saxenda or Ozempic, please discuss with your medical provider.
