What should I eat when taking Contrave (naltrexone/bupropion)?

When taking Contrave® for weight loss, those that follow a healthy and sustainable eating pattern typically lose the most weight and keep it off long term. Also, many people find it helpful to take the medication with food to prevent stomach upset. While there is a warning to avoid taking it with high-fat meals, there is no specific guideline in terms of what is the upper limit of fat content per meal. Therefore, if you are following a particularly high fat diet such as ketogenic or Atkins, you should discuss the timing of your medication with your doctor or if perhaps a different medication would be a safer option.
