How often can you refill Zepbound (tirzepatide)?

How often you refill Zepbound® prescription depends on your prescribed dosage and the refill allowances set by your insurance provider. Zepbound is available in two different forms- autoinjector pens or vials. The autoinjector pens come in 6 different doses that are typically increased on a monthly basis, beginning with weekly 2.5mg doses per pen, until reaching the maximum tolerated dose, which can be up to 15 mg. The vials come in 2 different doses, 2.5 mg and 5 mg. Once you've stabilized on a specific dose, your medical clinician may prescribe refills at three-month intervals (equivalent to 90 days) if appropriate. However, depending on your insurance you may only be able to fill one month at a time while other plans prefer patients to get a 90 day supply.
