When is the best time to take Ozempic (semaglutide)?

Ozempic can be taken at any time of day, with or without food. The is a long-acting medication that requires weekly dosing. Some people notice that they tend to have more side effects within 24-72 hours after their injection, so they may adjust their weekly dose to a certain day of the week where side effects are less disruptive to their activities. For example, if a person tends to have loose stools 48 hours after their injection, they may plan to take their injection on Thursday so as not to have symptoms while at work. If you have questions about the timing of your medication or want to change your weekly injection day, discuss this with your medical provider.
