Who makes Zepbound (tirzepatide)?

Zepbound® autoinjector pens and Zepbound vials are manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company, a US-based pharmaceutical company that develops, tests, and produces various medications including some used for treatment of diabetes and weight loss. They also produce Mounjaro® which has the same active ingredient (tirzepatide) as Zepbound.

Some medical practices and pharmacies advertise compounded tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro). Note that these are not the same medications that are manufactured by Eli Lilly and are not FDA-approved medications. There are safety concerns regarding these compounded medications which you can read more about here. Form Health does not prescribe or recommend using compounded weight loss medications.
