Does Wegovy come with needles?
Wegovy needle that is contained within the pen so you do not need to attach a needle to it. In fact, even when you remove the pen cap you will not see the needles for Wegovy. This is different from medications like Saxenda® and Ozempic®, which are also injectable GLP-1 receptor agonists, where you need to attach a new needle to the pen for each injection. To administer the injection, simply place the pen firmly against your clean skin on the belly, thigh or back of the upper arm and apply pressure. The first click will indicate the injection has started and the second click is that it is still dispensing. Once the yellow bar stops moving, that indicates that the injection is complete and you can remove the pen from the skin.
