How long does Mounjaro (tirzepatide) stay in your system?

Mounjaro® stays in your system for about 30 days once you stop taking the medication. This is based on the half-life of the medication which is the time it takes for 50% of the drug to be removed. The half life of Mounjaro is 5 days, though keep in mind that this is an estimate and the time it takes for Mounjaro to leave your system may vary from person to person. If you miss taking your Mounjaro, administer the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days. If it has been more than 4 days, skip the missed dose and administer the next dose on your usual injection day. If it has been more than 2 weeks since your last dose, please notify your prescribing medical provider.
